Flower Power…

… from trees to flowers… it’s a natural progression 🙂 And I know I’ve posted this elsewhere before but this truly is the most impressive flower I’ve ever seen! By far. They only bloom for seven days and here was a perfect 96cm Rafflesia in its second day of bloom… And right here in our Malaysian jungle backyard 🙂

Totally worth the bone-shattering off-roading and hour-long trek it took – to gawk, then gasp… then grin.

And just for added measure – I loooove lavender and sunflowers. Almost as much as I love tulips and peonies 🙂 And here under the scorching midday sun of Lourmarin… that gorgeous scent, that cheerful yellow…

PS: when did you take the sunflower one you sneaky piece of divinity? 🙂

    • Thank you Ana. Was actually really swamped yesterday and posted this feeling a little (actually totally) like I was cheating… The sunflower and lavender were in a stall just outside where we had lunch (chicken, mash, gorgeous choc & meringue) I snapped quickly as the stallowner was closing up whilst you and Spouse were already seated and perusing the menu 😉
