Dreaming Recycled…

Over a dozen years ago when I was expecting my little Sprog I  went along to Dragon on Walton St in London to kit out his nursery. It’s like walking into baby heaven there and I had his crib, toychest, chest-of-drawers, cupboard, bookshelf, hairbrush(!) – picked out to be handpainted with Sprog Symbols that were very personal…

In time his crib lost its bars and became His First Bed. It crossed oceans and continents with Sprog. And when he was not quite 5 he felt he was ready for a BigSprog Bed. So we loaned His First Bed to my cousin’s daughter Lara who slumbered in it for some years before she too *got big* and passed it on to my Big Sister’s son Zaid…

It has now become Sprig’s cocoon for sleeping and dreaming ♥ We stripped the bubblewrap off the old bars and there it was – The Sprig Crib. Sprog has finally relinquished the matching toychest (complete with the Sproggily artistic addition of faded Pokemon stickers :)) and cupboard and bookshelf and all else save  his baby hairbrush. Sprig has her own 🙂

And one day Sprog and Sprig’s loved ones will dream their little angel dreams here. Scratch their marks in the wood. Store their treasures in these spaces. Yup! One day ♥ xox
