... we’ve been taking leeetle steps in making a concerted effort to Go Green in our household. We recycle quite conscientiously – plastic glass cans cardboard paper books toys clothes; carry around our reusable shopping bags, try our best to buy local – ok ok – we’ve not done terribly well there but we do try!!; only use energy-saving lightbulbs and most significantly I did give birth to a naggy, treehugging, birdwatching ecowarrior named Sprog β₯
So anyway – whilst we’re not quite ready to forego the gas-guzzler for peddling everywhere we have as of a couple of weeks ago only been using ecofriendly products at home – yup just about totally – from toothpaste to window-cleaner – and my favourites – the fruit&veg wash and the herb&thyme disinfectant (which I use daily on Sprig’s drieddroolcrusted toys :)) Yes it’s quite sad – the things I get excited about these days… And if you’d like to know more about this do email me at goddesshireen@gmail.com π
So in honour of Going Green I’m posting Green Shots for the next week Β – and NO I haven’t quite figured out what that means at all but here’s my first offering…
I love artichokes. And I love how these have little brown markings. Like human beings with our freckles and grazes. How else would could should perfect nature be?? xox
I love everything bout this post … the going green (I try as much as possible too, as every little bit counts, no?), the artichokes (yum!) the fact that nothing is perfect without imperfection … and that photo. Quite wonderful, and has put me into a good mood for the day, thank you π
THANK YOU Ana – and thrilled you’re in a good mood π
I love how artichokes have an almost bruised purple-y tinge to them. Green and purple. So beautiful! And this photo. Theyre all snuggled together. Makes me hungry.
I too am as green as possible. Buy local, renovated my flat with recycled teak from an old shophouse, and ahimsa peace silk from India, and natural paints with eggshell and milk proteins. I would loooove to know about the herb&thyme disinfectant! Will email you π xxx
Thank you thank you Pia. Have emailed you re disinfectant. Your flat sounds divine! Where do you get your paints from? My place needs repainting! xox
